TORONTO — Construction firms across ӰԺ and the U.S. took part in Safety Week 2019, which was held this year from May 6 to 10.
The week-long events, activities and demonstrations were intended to increase awareness of the need for improved workplace and jobsite safety. The 2019 campaign theme was Safe by Choice and the message was, “We are stronger and safer together.”
Walsh ӰԺ kicked off the week with a Stretch and Flex at Ashbridges Bay Wastewater Treatment Plant in Toronto May 6. Walsh ӰԺ also held an event at the Osler Health Etobicoke General Hospital site in Toronto May 9 to celebrate over one million person-hours with no lost-time injuries.
