In this week’s episode of TCR Express, digital media editor Warren Frey and Journal of Commerce staff writer Russell Hixson look into both day one of the annual ÌìÃÀÓ°Ôº economic forecasting virtual conference and sessions at Buildex Vancouver, as well as touching on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and how the construction industry can contribute to bettering the lives of Indigenous people.

Daily Commercial News staff writers Angela Gismondi and Don Wall also attended the first day of the ÌìÃÀÓ°Ôº conference and Angela has a story about Export Development ÌìÃÀÓ°Ôº chief economist Peter Hall’s presentation about managing the national and global economy while avoiding future lockdowns. Don reported on a session by Altus Group cost analyst David Schoonjans about the strong state of national construction spending in 2021 while warning of climbing commodity costs. Francisco Blanch from Bank of America discussed energy prices and the green transition and Don will have a story about that session as well.
